The World Eatery, is the restaurant at the luxury Sofitel Hotel on the Palm Jumeirah and it reflects the diversity of World cuisines. Italian culture played a key role in the design theme. The entrance area of the restaurant features a wide hall flanked on one side by an extensive green wall, filled primarily with a wide range of unique plants and with water feature in the center. The front dining section has specially designed furniture, made of wood and colorful fabrics. The soft lighting in the area comes from the series of custom-made metal pendants that add a playful element to the overall interior. The interplay of wood, stone and hand-finished materials, which are common for majority of cultures are giving to the space a cozy ambience. The key elements and decor of the restaurant is the bookshelves with showcases, which represents the culinary products from all over the world.
